Director of Education and Registered Radiation Therapist
Monash University, Melbourne, Australia
In 1996 while working clinically, I was appointed to the role of Research Radiographer. In this role I had my first taste of radiation therapy research and education. I was studying a Master of Radiotherapy at this time. From there my interest in both research and education grew and I was involved in educating nurses and sessional work in universities until my first tenured Senior Lecturing role in 2001 where I taught undergraduate and postgraduate radiotherapy programs. In 2023 I emigrated to Melbourne Australia to establish the first entry to practice Masters course delivered by distance education (now fully online) at Monash University. Since then, I have led the creation of innovative entry to practice and post graduate programs, completed a PhD in 2015 and subsequently established a radiation therapy research program, supervising higher degree research students.
